What's Actually in the Bay
The published tolerances on a Launch Spec Fit card come from two instruments running at once, not one unit doing double duty. Here's what's actually in the room during a block.
The Instrument Pair
A doppler radar unit tracks ball flight from launch to descent; a high-speed camera pair confirms face impact location and closure rate independently. Blocks are only counted as valid when both instruments agree within tolerance — a swing that only one unit captures cleanly gets re-hit.
Impact tape goes on the face for every candidate tested, and the sheet gets scanned and filed with your card so the strike-pattern claim on your report has a photograph behind it, not just a number.
The Component Wall
Shaft and head inventory is organized by weight class and bend profile rather than by brand name, which is deliberate — it's easier to pull three candidates that actually differ from each other when they're not sorted by logo first.
